Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quote tool asks for your gender, date of birth, how you would describe your health, whether you use tobacco, the amount of coverage you want, and how long you need it to last. Those answers are all that's needed to get carrier quotes. Your name, address, and detailed health information are only requested if you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The rates shown are what each carrier quotes for the health tier you selected. The carrier may confirm that tier, improve it, or adjust it lower or higher after underwriting. Nothing quoted on this site is a guarantee or an offer; it is information based on your answers at the moment you asked.
What happens when I click Apply?
You choose a quote, enter your name, and the application is filled with the answers you gave and submitted to the carrier's platform. You can come back to it anytime until you finish and submit. Your signature is electronic. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129), handles the application.
Will I need a medical exam?
It depends on which carrier you choose, how much coverage you want, and what you told us about your health. Some carriers can decide immediately for people who qualify; others ask for a medical exam or lab work from a nurse or paramedic at your home or office. Every quote shows what that carrier expects.
Is a longer term better?
A term should match the period when your income is critical to your household: a mortgage that takes fifteen years to pay, children who will need support for eighteen years, a business loan that matures in ten. Longer terms lock in a lower rate for longer, which costs more per month; shorter terms cost less monthly but cover fewer years. The quote tool lets you compare.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The tool does not ask for your name or contact information when you get quotes. We do not sell or share your information, and the measurement we do here does not use cookies or trackers. Read the privacy page for the complete list of what we collect and what we do not.
